Beginners and experienced drummers alike, join us for a 6-week djembe-style drumming class.  The class willbe taught by Jasper, who has been drumming for 12 years and is a master drum maker as well.  He’ll cover the foundations of drumming and how to build different kinds of energies – from trance to dance.
 
Jasper’s passion is drums – and his joy in playing is contagious!  Whether you have no experience or lots of experience, you’ll feel comfortable, have fun, and learn the techniques you need to enter the deeply satisfying realm of drumming!

You’ll need a drum for the class, and the best idea is to bring your own djembe-style drum.  If you don’t have one, Jasper has a few drums for students to use during class.  He also has a small number of drums for sale, or you can send him an e-mail after you register to get his recommendations on purchasing a drum.

Please join us for a series of talks by Chris Douglas, former apprentice to Carlos Castaneda. 

For human beings, evolution is no longer a physical adaptation—evolution for us today is in consciousness.  This does not mean the evolution of thought.  Thought has been running around in circles for centuries.  In order for us to adapt to our current situation, human beings must accept the limited nature of thought, and look inside for an inner, silent evolution.

This evolution is already happening inside all of us—but you have to stop engaging all your energy in activity and thought to notice it.  Our society is brimming with distractions—all the different (but essentially similar) doings that people get involved in.  If a person is not aware of the changes going on in their own consciousness, or is resistant to those changes, they may be miserable, or at least, confused about what they’re feeling.

Join us Tuesdays starting April 22 as Chris sheds light and humor on this ongoing process of conscious evolution. To take that inner journey and follow the movement of consciousness inside yourself as it evolves, you have to put down your doings.  Not give them up, or deny yourself anything, but put them aside—put thought aside.  Instead of funneling all your energy into doing in order to have, one can learn to rechannel it into being.  Chris will explain this process, and show you the tremendous vitality involved in reclaiming your energy.

Valerie Blakenship is a Clinical Herbalist, certified in both Herbology and Iridology through David Hoffman’s Therapeutic Herbalism Course and Terry Willard’s Wild Rose College. In addition, she has herbology and iridology certifications through Dr. John Christopher’s School of Natural Healing, as well as attending over 150 classes and seminars with professional clinical herbalists, including Roy Upton, Mary Bove, David Winston, and Mark Blumenthal. She is a member in good standing of the American Herbalists Guild.

Focusing on healing as a Shamanic activity, we will teach the core technique of trance using power animals as guides.  We will explore contacting and relating to power animals, energy body cleansing (extractions) and soul retrievals.  This work requires the ability to trance (guided meditation) and some familiarity with power animals.

We will focus on contact with your personal energy signatures known as the Energy Child and past-life regressions.  You will need to wear comfortable clothing and bring a rattle, journal and small quartz crystal.

This work is fun and very revealing.  We will learn to apply this healing modality to ourselves.  Shamanic work holds the potential for deep self-knowledge for those who are open to it and can be a very intense and emotional experience.  Please come to the sessions open and willing to support each experience.

We accept of all backgrounds and orientations.  This class is drug and alcohol free.

*Please bring a pot luck lunch item to share.

Teacher: Cedar has been a student and practitioner of Shamanic techniques for nine years.  He is trained in core Shamanism, the Shamanistic techniques introduced by Michael Harner.  His teachers have included George Hueco, a student of Michael Harner, who also incorporates native North American techniques, and Laura Bodmer, a native Hawaiian who teaches Huna Shamanism. Cedar has developed his own style of Shamanism incorporating Wiccan and Southwestern traditions.

This class will consist of a talk explaining the nature of Dark and Divine Male & Female.  We will then take an experiential journey to release these old energies and patterns both within ourselves & within the group consciousness.

New Divine Male & Female Light codes will be awakened and/or implanted within our etheric templates. In addition, we will allow Ascension codes & energies to be activated, thus restructuring our DNA towards a higher dimensional Lightbody.
